x-ray and exam |
I needed a cleaning and new to the area. I set up an appointment and found out after arriving I was not going to get a cleaning. Only an exam and x-rays. My whole purpose was to get a cleaning. Then the Dentist tells me because of the condition of me teeth I need a deep cleaning. I have no insurance and originally they told me over the phone the cleaning and the x-rays and exam would be $290.00 Now I have paid $211.00 for the x-rays ands exam. Then they tell me it will be another $200.00 for the cleaning (Deep). I told them I would pay if I could pay half after my visit since I have already spent a lot of money. They said they do not negotiate payments. Then the receptionist said she thought I would not be a good patient because I got fustrated with her on the phone about the high changing prices. Once again, I am a student with no dental insurance. I should have researched this dentist more thoroughly. I feel like I was taken advantage of for the exam and ex-rays I just had a year ago. Then they don't want to work with me on the last 25% of the full amount. I already paid them faster than most insurance carriers do. Anyway, bad experience all around. I waited 40 mins. in the lobby before they took the ex-rays. All I wanted was a cleaning. I kept telling the dentist that. I could not afford the more expensive deep cleaning but the office insisted on it anyway. Don't go to this Dentist unless you want to pay higher fees.
