At first Dr. Averill was just a name in my health care plan book.  I made my appointment and hoped for the best.  I arrived at the office and was seen within 10 minutes.  Everyone I had met up in the front of the office was very polite to me and to everyone that came in.  I found out I was pregnant with twins and since my pregnancy would be a high risk pregnancy I was referred to a specialist in Winchester who handles high risk pregnancies.  One visit to that doctors office made me realize how great I had it with Dr. Averill.  I chose to go to both doctors so that I could remain with Dr. Averill.  My pregnancy was not an easy one but knowing that I had the support and guidance from Dr. Averill and her office made it so comforting. 

Every question I had (believe me I had what must have been millions) was answered throughly.  Often repeated just to make sure I understood.  There is not another doctor I would have liked to have in the delivery room than Dr. Averill.  My Mom could not be there for the birth of the twins but with Dr. Averill there I felt that she was.  She was so calm, warm and genuine that it went smoothly.  If I had every doubted myself and my abilities I had an entire support staff with everyone in the office. 

I realize that at times there was a longer wait than one expects but as I am sure everyone knows there are emergencies that happen.  Every doctor has them and it is to be expected.  If you asked the staff if she was on time, they would tell you the truth.  There rarely was a long wait to see her in the all the time I have been to see her.  But the time she spent with you, you were her main focus. 

I was blessed to have a doctor who would sit and listen to me.  I mean REALLY listen to me and you could feel that they cared.  Dr. Averill was this doctor for me.  Dr.  Averill and her staff have spoiled me with the care and understanding that they have shown.  Even when the other doctor messed up and punctured one of the sacs, it was Dr. Averill who showed up at the hospital to take care of me.  The other doctor did not come around for over a day. 

So if you are looking for a Doctor who really cares about you and your well-being, then she is the doctor for you.
