If I could have rated zero I would have. I went into this office expecting to get dentures. Everything seemed ok at first and said that I would receive a general anesthetic while being awake and having the procedure done. I had a severe reaction to the medication and was hallucinating for 3 whole months after the procedure and was in a constant state of terror and warped sense of reality and time and later had reoccuring flashbacks. My family contacted his office which claimed they had no idea what was wrong with me, so they gave us my medical records and took me to the hospital. Turns out I received Ketamine- commonly known as a street drug called Special K. It is a CAT tranquilizer and wild how my wife works for a veternarian and they discontinued the use because they had to put too many felines to sleep due to bizarre personality changes in the animals and the owners didn't know how to deal with a CUCKOO KITTY. Not only did this dentist give me this medication WITHOUT my KNOWLEDGE or CONSENT, but stated even to my wife that I would not stay DOWN under the anesthetic and was given even MORE of this stuff. Researching on the internet has revealed that approx 50mg can send a person into what is known as a K-HOLE, where they basically are Schizo and some don't come out or if they do, they can have flashbacks for over a YEAR! I was given 100mg! Here's the scary part, dentists all over the USA have started using this medication in dentistry and even in children! It has been a LONG HARD ROAD, but I am finally starting to feel like me again. I can't begin to describe the gratitude for my family for not sending me away to a facilty where they would have continued to medicate me until I no longer knew who I was. Becareful People, get involved and educated. Ask questions. I learned the hard way.
