I went to Dr. Scott Skolkin, Chiropractor because of severe back pain.

He took an x-ray and gave me an appointment for evaluation.

When I came back I asked him if he uses a galvanic (electical stimulation) as part of the treatment.  Dr. Skolkin advised me that he has no such equipment.

I went to him six times costing me $180.00 out of my pocket and each treatment consisted of a hot blanket on my back and a back rub.  At no time did he adjust my back physicaly or perform any other treatment.  I stopped going for treatment after six weeks because his treatment could have been done at home by my wife. Besides I had as much pain after six treatments as when I started.

About a month later I recieved a complete account of what Dr. Skolkin had submitted to my insurance company and what was paid to him.

I couldn't belive my eyes when the statment listed the six visits with the treatment given.  Dr. Skolkin charged my insurance company for electronic stimulation plus some other things that I didn't understand.

He recieved quite a bit of money from my insurance co. and I have the statement to prove his false submission to my insurance co.  This is an example of why we pay so much for insurance.  Always check your insurance statements and report any fraud.
