I went for a deep scaling and root planing. I received a general cleaning with nova-cane from an inexperienced dental hygienist. Not the procedure that was supposed to be done. I requested all charges before treatment. I signed a treatment plan, paid my required amount. Apparently they conveniently 'forgot' to tell me about additional charges. $200 extra that they did not add to the treatment plan. An update. Dr Horans office has hired a collection agency to harass myself and my family in an attempt to force me into paying for a service they did not provide. I also reported his deceptive business practices to Delta Dental my insurance company and the better Business Bureau. They will never see a dime because as I stated above, the procedure was not done as contracted! Another thing that amazed me that everyone could relate to, before the 'cleaning' was done I noticed there was not spit sink. Everyone knows what that is used for in a dentist office or so I thought. When I asked the inexperienced hygienist how do i rinse and where is the spit sink, she had no idea what I was referring to. When I described the sink and told her what it was used for she answered 'no one uses them anymore' and if I need to rinse 'I could get up and walk over to the sink on the other end of the room' Needless to say I gaged a lot from all the water that was squirted into my mouth and which she could not handle with a suction tube. |
