Dr. Keith Cooper has been my family physician for 6 years. I used to recommend him to everyone, but recently the changes at his office are disappointing. He replaced a knowledgable and extremely caring staff with temporary staff and a new office manager who has no clue what is going on. We used to be able to call and get an appointment immediately if needed--now we are told, 'he is too busy,go to the urgent care'. Dr. Cooper seems distracted and his diagnoses seem rushed. I can not afford to entrust my children's health with this physician any longer. I do not know what has happened recently to cause this drastic change, but it is disturbing to witness this kind of patient neglect. Dr. Cooper claims he does not have to defend his actions--I beg to differ. When you hold people's lives in your hands you should be able to back up your decisions with intelligence, respect and empathy. I have lost all respect for you, Keith Cooper.

I was first seen by Dr Keith Cooper in 2002, right after he opened his office. His office had recently been cleaned, painted and was bright and cheerful. It gave a warm, friendly feeling upon entering and I was surprised at how nice the staff was. The usual clinical feeling was no where to be found and I instantly felt as if I'd known this practice for years. It provided me with a feeling of caring people who was indeed there for my welfare, not just the $$$ sign seen in many offices. Upon meeting Dr. Cooper, I was awed by the fact he was a caring as the rest of the staff. I would of given his office a 10+ in every area. Over the next several years I traveled and didn't have a need to seek medical attention other than a cold here and there while over the road. When I returned to the area, I made an appointment when I needed medical services and found the same happy staff and physician. The office was under some sort of construction and was a complete mess. I was told Dr. Cooper liked to do wood work and used it as a past time and was completing the work himself. I was impressed that a physician would do this and left a satisfied customer once again. Over the next several years, it became apparent that the office was in a constant state of 'reconstruction' that never seem to move forward but stayed in an stagnant state of dust, dirt, and projects only semi finished at best. If it hadn't been for the always available appointments and cheerful staff I would of left immediately. I had to wonder about the mentality of anyone that continued to start one room only to move to another without ever completing. Tools were now strung all over the office and the staff and patients were 'climbing over' and 'tripping' on items right and left. I could have never worked in such a mess and I had to admire the staff that stuck with this physician. I had the feeling he was a truly special person or no one would be there more than a day.
Recently I made an appointment after being without need of Dr. Coopers services for a long period of time. I didn't recognize the voice on the phone as Barb or Lisa who I found always helpful and friendly but rather a very clinical sterile personality that is a dime a dozen in the medical field ( I can find this anywhere). I asked to speak to either of them only to be told they were no longer employed. I should of stopped right there. Due to the need for medical attention, I made an appointment only to find the office no longer thinks medical attention needs to be when needed but days out. (Once again I should of moved on). Going with the appointment, I arrived to find a new staff of temporary people as well as a doctor who thinks he's GOD. It was learned through a little inquiring with a staff member who has a 'LARGE' mouth, Dr. Keith Cooper had went through a divorce, fired his staff for a new wife (who recently had just came into his life) who disliked his long time staff, and is now directing his office in 'the manner he feels is respectful of him'.
Sorry Doc, I will be finding a new physician and telling everyone I know who is looking for medical care not to seek your services. The good in your practice clearing came from others who covered for a physician not worthy of 'caring'. Maybe a little completing of your construction work would give you some time to see reality for what it is.
