2007 After waiting an extended length of time, my teen daughter and I were taken to the examining room for her yearly sports physical.  Dr. Talley came into the room after 15 mins., was interrupted (and allowed the interruption) by a nurse on two different occasions to sign prescriptions, she left the room once to help another nurse.  After feeling as if we were being 'scolded' into receiving three different immunizations she was recommending and after hearing how it is our 'duty to our community' to get the flu vaccine, I specified which one we were interested in getting and she began to do the sports physical.  I had to leave the office (we drove separately) because I had another commitment I was running behind for due to the delay in her office.  I left after 1 hour and 20 minutes.  My daughter called me when she left there saying that Dr. Talley had given her a prescription for an antidepressant!!  Without my permission or even a parent consult!  Very displeased with her professionalism and will never go there again.  I'm an educated adult capable of determining if I want my daughter to receive vaccines that are elective and I don't need scolded and told it is my duty to the community to do so.

2006

I had just moved to the Augusta area in November of 2006.  I found out it was very difficult to find a doctor who was accepting new patients, let alone, a good doctor.  I saw Dr. Hendricks who prescribed anti depressants for depression due to a family tragedy.  When I had problems with the doseage, I called up for an appointment with Dr. Talley.  During the week prior to the appointment onDec. 27, I called up 3 times for cancellations which they didn't have and then I was told she would call me.  She never did but the nurse answering the phone in the evening, said I could come in at 8:30 am instead of 2:00pm.  When I did, no one there knew about the 8:30 appointment and called me a liar because I didn't know the name of the nurse.  My head was pounding and I felt faint.  The receptionist told me I would be seen but I would have to wait.  I waited an hour and a half when a smilling nurse called out my name and took me to a back room.  Within minutes, I heard a very loud, screaming voice before I even met the person! Apparently it was Dr. Talley!  She screamed my name and then said, 'YOU HAVE BEEN VERY RUDE TO MY STAFF!  YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THE NAME OF THE NIGHT NURSE!  I DO NOT WANT TO SEE YOU EVER, EVER AGAIN!  I'M BANNING YOU FROM THIS ENTIRE PRACTICE!'  Her voice could be heard in the waiting room.  As a result I was extremely depressed because I had the wrong doseage and I was not able to see a doctor until a month later!  Since then, I have met other patients who have gone to her and they have relayed similar unprofessional experiences with Dr. Talley.

I'm so glad this website is available because I'm looking for a new doctor and I've definitely scratched her from my list.

Yes, she ought to be banned from the medical field.  when someone refers to 'bedside manner',  she has absolutely none!

I've gone to Dr. Wallentyne and he is very nice, professional, answers questions and you don't need an appointment.  i only waited 10 minutes to see him.  But don't go to Dr. Connie Smith.

She is just like Talley!  They could be sisters!

I've been a patient of Dr. Talley for about 7 years now and I have ALWAYS had great visits with her.  In fact, I've found her to be such a kind and caring person that I plan to drive an extra hour to see her when we move in the near future.  She has always been professional, kind, caring, efficient, and helpful.  I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor in the Augusta area.
